Greater Minnesota Family Services and Juvenile Treatment Court
Greater Minnesota Family Services provides mental health services to the Brown County Juvenile Treatment Court (JTC) Program, working directly with the county's juvenile probation clients who have substance abuse concerns and chronic difficulties with maintaining law abiding behaviors. Individual, family, and/or group counseling and skills work along with therapy and diagnostic services are provided as direct services by GMFS staff to JTC clients.
Additionally, much collaborative work takes place with the JTC team in the program's facilitation. The JTC team is comprised of professionals from probation, family services, local schools, our district judge and assistant county attorney, GAL, NUMC outpatient treatment providers, and the GMFS staff (1 therapist and 2 counselors).
